CLEAN FUEL INJECTORS BURN LESS GAS!

Most drivers know to have their oil changed and their filters
checked, but few realize that their fuel injection system needs to
be maintained too. This is where the Cleen Plan comes in.

THE CLEEN PLAN
The Cleen Plan is more than a pour-in-the-tank additive...
it's a comprehensive fuel injection cleaning program that combines do-it-yourself preventative maintenance with an annual professional cleaning; a partnership between the motorist and his trusted service technician.

INJECTOR CLEANING IS A ONCE-A-YEAR TUNE-UP
Motorists should use Cleen additive every 5,000 miles and see their service professional yearly. Follow the Cleen Plan to save money at the pump and have a smoother running vehicle.
WHAT FUEL INJECTORS DO
Fuel Injectors distribute fuel into the engine's cylinders where it's burned to power your vehicle. Injectors have a very specific spray pattern and volume. If this pattern or volume is altered, the injector won't deliver the proper amount of fuel at the right time. The result is the vehicle will not run properly or at maximum power.

WHY CLEAN FUEL INJECTORS?
Over time, deposits build up on the injector nozzles, adversely altering the spray pattern and injector volume. These deposits may come from additives in gasoline or may be a result of other types of build-up.

    Why Clean Injectors...
  • Deposits build-up over time
  • Frequent short trips lead to increased deposit and varnish build-up
  • Some systems, such as the GM CPI, are prone to varnish and carbon build-up

  • How Dirty Injectors Affect Your Vehicle.
  • Increased Emissions
  • Reduced Fuel Economy
  • Catalytic Converter Damage
  • Poor Handling
  • Fuel injectors need to be part of regular engine maintenance plan so that they perform at peak levels. If not, the result will be poor drivability, reduced fuel economy, higher emissions and overall poor performance.

  • Fuel injectors are small - like precision garden hose nozzles. And just like a garden hose nozzle, the spray can vary from a wide flow to a tight stream. If dirt gets in a garden hose nozzle, or it's otherwise obstructed, the spray pattern will be altered and the hose doesn't work properly.

  • That's precisely what happens when dirt and deposits build up in a fuel injector. The spray is distorted, the cylinders don't fire the way they should and engine performance suffers.

  • Gasoline additives don't burn in the engine cylinder like gasoline does. Instead, additives will melt and bake onto any hot surface (like a fuel injector). Left untreated, this build-up will worsen and the injectors won't spray fuel the way they were intended to. This happens gradually over time and you may not notice a sudden change in vehicle performance.

  • But as injectors get clogged, the car may begin to hesitate, stumble, idle rough or suddenly lose power. It may even become hard to start.

  • Remove the deposits and fuel injectors will work like they should. That's why regular fuel injector maintenance is so important. And that's where the Cleen Plan comes in!
